Web Design

Abysses

The Holy Grail of any internet marketing strategy is having a perfectly designed website.

There are some abysses in the world of web design that to look into them would chill you to the bone.

OK, maybe that’s a bit of an over-exaggeration, but we have certainly had the misfortune of visiting some sites with such poor webpage design that anyone unlucky enough to stumble across them would be appalled.

Serial killers of digital good taste. Pages that take forever to load. Texts that say nothing. Buttons that lead nowhere.

Oh, the horror!

Having a beautiful webpage isn’t enough

There are a lot of factors that go into good web design. If you want your customers to give you the time of day, it’s important to implement good techniques into your website design from the outset. It’s not enough that your webpage looks attractive (although that’s important too). It’s also crucial that it functions well and is a piece of cake to use. Unprofessional web design can lead to huge usability and branding problems, meaning that your customers will be scared off before they’ve had a chance to know you and your products. And that is absolutely the opposite of what you want!

We at IsAuraMedia know how important your website is to you – it is, after all, the public face you show the world. And that is why we treat your site with all the care and attention we would give if we were doing our own website design.

To our mind, good web design takes into account two main factors – operational design and brand design – which we always try to bear in mind when we take on any new web design project. The former ensures your site has good structure, while the latter concerns itself with appearance.

Indeed, the design of a website depends on two aspects:

Operational Design

The operational side of web design deals with everything related to the correct functioning of your website, its optimisation, and the user experience or usability.

We want your customers to get lost in your website in the way a person can get lost in a pair of beautiful eyes, and not in the manner of getting lost in a maze with no way out.

Brand Design

Brand design, on the other hand, concentrates on the aesthetic aspect of web design. You need a personal and unique image in order to set you apart from the crowd – to distinguish you from your competition, reflect your values, and attract more customers.

This is where stuff like logos, fonts, colour palette and graphic elements come into play.

It’s the small things, often imperceptible at first glance, that can make all the difference in terms of improving your brand awareness and increasing customer conversions.

So it’s important to audit your digital ecosystem from time to time.

Of course, it’s not always essential to employ both services at the same time. Your needs will be determined by your starting situation.

But you need to take the first step. Do you dare to give your website a makeover?
